1991 Volvo 240 Turbo

I've owned this car since 2014, its got a turbo engine in it from a 940 and an M47 5 speed gearbox, its been very reliable. I used it daily for around 9 years but it went into storage in 2023 as I got a van for work. The overall body condition is fair, lots of character, scuffs and scars. Generally solid. I've recently repaired some small areas of rust in the floors and bulkhead (butt welded not plated over) and its also just had the drivers side rear quarter and sill repaired. Interior is ok, its got an alfa drivers seat and a 940 passenger seat, both kind of worn. I've messed up the speakers, but i've got some factory speakers and covers to go with it, no stereo fitted. speedo is intermittent. Mechanically is pretty good. Its got a diesel clutch, the diff is noisy which I think is the pinion bearing. Suspension is as follows 40mm lowering springs Bilstein B4 shocks Polybushes all round (superpro or powerflex, can't remember but not cheap shit) Martin leaf (Viking Fabrication) adjustable torque rods and Panhard rod (poly and rose joint) Wheels are Mondeo wheels banded to 8.5" with 215 profile Uniroyals with plently of tread. Engine is on stock internals and 13c turbo, intercooler is from an Iveco eurocarco (huge), Thelostartof chips, 2.5" exhaust. Manual boost controller, engine boosts to 18psi. It goes like a scalded cat and handles very well. I've loved this car and always had Volvos but its not getting used now and I've got too many other projects, so, reluctantly have decided its time to move it on I think. If you want a genuine Turbobrick that has all the basics covered but want to put your mark on it then this could be the car for you, thinking about it there are a few little jobs that need addressing but nothing too major. I forgot to mention its had all new calipers and centre bearing recently too. There's a video on my channel "Mikes tiny shed of dreams" on Youtube.

And they in most cases will be crash damaged or high mileage ones that once they come onto UK roads kind of get a clean slate or during MPH conversion they miraculously become very low mileage.🤯 Purchased through Japautoagent who has 22 years of experience choosing only the best cars. Months Patiently waiting for a special one to come up in Japanese auction, Although this had a 3.5C auction report it was for completely silly things like seat covers, it was pristine throughout, with genuine low mileage, and had special mods really unique, you will be very unlikely to find a TOMS Anywhere, the main down side is the bodywork (rear quarter) got scratched during shipment I never got round to sorting. (I didn't buy shipping insurance as it was already past South Africa when they told me to get it, though oh I'm past the worst - doh). It was inspected on import and the oil was pristine, and I have driven 12k miles since import. A service is due tbh. I paid for all the relevant checks and VX report. I have a Dropbox with more images when I imported and a YouTube video. I can share. I go to japan every year we always hire these for our Koi buying trips, I decided to import one here however using it as a van for transporting my koi to shows doesn't really work with the rear seat rails make that difficult.

Hi everyone, here's my Cavalier. Engine rebuild in 2022, at 35000 miles. Head gasket started weeping after 5000 miles. I tried k-seal, oh no. I did get the head gasket done properly, but, the k-seal must have caused a blockage in the cooling system. A standard thermostat will overheat, so I have fitted a modified thermostat, constant flow, but restricted. Haven't MOT'd since exemption. Was fully wax oiled when bought, and have kept on top of. Only 1 spot of welding. Not show quality. Ratty. Hand painted roof. Ask me anything. I use it as a daily driver, not all the time, have another car. Might be the only 1.3 saloon left. Who knows. More photos are coming/available. BGR918W. Owned since 2015. Original bill of sale. Big book of receipts and old MOT certificates. From 2015-2018, refurbished front callipers, with new discs and pads, full exhaust, manifold to back box, NOS distributor, lowered 40mm on Spax springs with adjustable panhard rod, all fuel hoses replaced, fuel tank rust treated and painted with hammerite, clutch friction plate, was told pressure plate was good. 2025, head gasket done, starter motor refurbished, radiator recored/refurbished, rear brakes shoes and cylinders, front wheel bearings, spark plugs and HT leads. 2026, alternator refurbished and new Bosch battery. I have all the original parts to return to stock, steel wheels, chrome hubcaps, air filter, springs and panhard rod. Make me an offer.
