2002 Ford focus pocus mk1 2002 LX 1.6i Zetec Petrol

One owner Resurrection project. This lovely Metropolis Blue Metallic later facelifted MK1 Ford focus was parked/SORN for five years by it's original owner. The car was purchased brand new for her by her husband who was the sales manager at the local Ford Main Dealer, I kid you not. 44,000 miles covered in 18 years, only local journeys and never, ever driven on a motorway. Car was parked up SORN for five years at the beginning of the COVID pandemic lock down in May 2020. I've owned the car since then and it has taken over a year to put it right and get it back on the road Has been completely gone through, mechanicals are spot on now loads of parts replaced and it drives really well, like a 4 or 5 year old car. Except maybe the clutch which is fine but a bit on the high side. The clutch is hydraulic and can't be adjusted so if it's not to the next owners taste a new clutch master cylinder will probably sort it for £200 at your local independent garage. The rear nearside door wasn't locking with the central locking, currently it is now locked and not unlocking, needs a bit of investigation. I've had some paint/body work done to smarten up where the owner caught her bumper and rear door on her gate post, small scrapes and the start of rust. Properly finished and improved car massively. Detailed description. All the underside has been thoroughly cleaned/ wire brushed/ treated with Lanogard grease and Lanogard spray by me. The offside shock absorber has also just been replaced with matching OEM spec one and the car drives even better now, exactly like a focus should. Feels like a four year old car. Bodywork is completely solid and it's had a really good clean. Come view this lovely car and have a look, and a test drive. The engine is sweet. You will not be disappointed. This genuine one owner car has a unique history, the story is amazing. Purchased brand new by the sales manager at a Ford main dealers, for his wife who travelled locally as a District Nurse for a couple of years before retirement. She kept the car for a further 16 years. The car was serviced/ maintained entirely by Ford under her ownership. Total mechanical recommission under my ownership includes paint/ body repairs. The car presented at the Festival of The Unexceptional (the FoTU is one of the best classic retro car shows and features everyday cars from the 70s-00s) at the end of July. Driven for the first ever time only a few weeks previously when I took the car along to Cadwell Park racing circuit, also it's first ever drive on any motorway. I have now covered just over 600 miles. This is a genuine, extremely rare one owner resurrection vehicle with great provenance and is a one off opportunity to own one of the last complete, original focus LXs still remaining. Motorways are no problem in the car, it literally eats up the miles despite never being motorway driven previously. This car will happily serve you as daily transport and is the perfect modern retro classic car. Take it to meets and shows such as the FoTU, talk to focus fans, this could be a definite concourse contender with very little effort. The focus mk1 (small f please) is recognised and generates genuine passion and interest. Conversations can be varied as so many people once owned one, and so many focus' were on the roads originally. Yes this one is now almost 25 years old, and like any older vehicle will benefit from ongoing improvement/ care to keep it in the great condition you see here or take it to the next level. The 1. 6 Litre fuel injected 16v Zetec petrol engine sounds so sweet, as you would expect from a 45000 mile, full history one owner, main dealer maintained car such as this. It starts immediately on the first turn with it's brand new battery, fuel pump, spark plugs and leads, and effortlessly keeps on today's busy roads. The interior is pretty much immaculate and exactly as it left the factory. Everything in the car works as intended, and it's a great spec-electric windows, brand new motor nearside, electric boot release, fast-clear heated front screen, mobile phone compatible CD player (rare in 2002) with six fantastic sounding speakers, heater controls etc. (Radio is intermittent so I have put a replacement unit in the boot for the next owner.) Even both the 12v power sockets 1 front, 1 rear, are working, and still have their little covers, no cigarette lighter or ashtray in site. The sole owner was a non-smoker. The next owners could isolate and find the leak in the air conditioning system as I did a re-gas and everything worked as expected for a couple of days, blew lovely and cold but gradually the gas escaped. The compressor/ pump/ fan/ switch circuit are functioning correctly. Recap. Local car to Huddersfield. Never motorway driven. Never even left the town. Used only as a work vehicle by District Nurse-two years then their retirement until 2020. Parked/ stored, hard standing and put on SORN for exactly 5 years, 2020-2025. ALL major mechanical components have been replaced during recommissioning, a comprehensive list is available & includes:- •Full service, all fluids and filters •Fresh spark plugs and leads •Brakes fully overhauled using premium brake pads, discs and sliders front, premium linings rear •Timing belt kit •Water pump •Rear screenwash pump and in-tank fuel pump •Steering and suspension bushing •Brand new front control arms •Brand new tyres-front •Brand new FRONT SUBFRAME cross member and bolt-set. •Brand new electric window motor-near side •Brand new alternator & new battery. •Brand new OEM quality front shock absorber to offside. -this has transformed and tightened up the ride/ handling. Both rear sills have been professionally repaired-welded, the nearside also professionally painted to a very high standard, along with paint to the whole front & rear doors and wheel arch plus the corner of the rear bumper where the car had caught the gate and/ or post while being parked. All receipts and invoices for all works carried out by a qualified and fastidious mechanic are available and will be supplied on request. Works and parts are warrantied. Car now wants for nothing mechanical before winter now that the underside is properly protected. Minor bubbling on the offside rear arch only into the welded sill, could be remedied to make perfect. The next MOT is due end of April 2027- car will be sold. What are you waiting for? One of the very best MK1 focus' you will possibly find? We want this moved on before winter ideally..... bag yourself an absolute bargain. Certainly one of the most original and best recommissioned Ford focus mk1s out there. These cars are true future classics, and that future is ever closer, with their new edge styling and excellent driving dynamics. Rarely are they offered with such low miles and such interesting, guaranteed provenance. Find another focus MK1 that is Ford main dealer serviced and Sales Manager's wife owned AND never ever driven on a motorway or left the supplying dealers family ownership. UNIQUE. TOTALLY ORIGINAL. ONE OFF. Drives exactly like a 4 year old car. Needs to be driven not parked up, it's barely run in. No offers considered without a test drive. As the previous owner has been very generous with providing many details of her car's history verbally, I am confident she may also be able to supply the book pack, spare keys and service history. I have given her time to locate, and we are still in regular contact. There are EVEN MORE details around the car's history and story which I will share with the buyer. This focus was the only one offered for sale at the recent FoTU Forecourt, see the latest photos for confirmation of attendance and how the car presented. It genuinely is a car that many people want to look round, sit in and talk about. If you want to attend shows with something easy to live with that easily keeps up with modern traffic and that polishes up beautifully this could well be the car for you. The added bonus is if course that story, which is something you will enjoy telling over and over. Unique in that even knowing the original of most 24 year old Fords is nigh on impossible unless you are the original purchaser. That this one has survived and been saved is a whole other story and one that will need to be passed on to the next owner. Satisfaction guaranteed if a really interesting back story is important to you, and when you attend meets and shows, the back story really is. Despite never been restored this looks absolutely stunning in the Metropolis (NOT Imperial) metallic blue and the superb condition original specification alloy wheels have had a deep clean, as no refurbishment was needed. Missing alloy Wheel centre caps have been replaced with genuine Ford items. Specifics. The steering wheel is as new, is lovely and extremely rare with no delamination or worn areas. Exactly as it was when the car left the Ford factory in 2002. See photos. The seats are firm, clean and fabric has absolutely no tears and there is no bolster wear on the driver's seat or anywhere. The only seat that has regularly been sat in is the drivers seat and it shows. Immaculate, comfortable and attractively trimmed, the interior even still has a nineties Ford car smell. The headlining is completely clean, and as new with zero sagging anywhere. Externally it retains a gleaming fresh appearance with the stunning Metropolis (NOT Imperial) Blue metallic paintwork being one of the best colours and it really sets it's sharp looks off. It will be very hard to find another MK1 focus LX in this colour and condition. Locking wheel nut is present as is the original CD/ Radio key code document. A V5 is present as is the most recent MOT document, and all previous MOT history is detailed on line. Invoices for all mechanical works are available electronically and includes the welding carried out for the current MOT. Come and view the car, a test drive can be arranged and a special price will be offered. BUT ONLY IF YOU COME AND VIEW. At the price will be freshly cleaned inside and out and will come with MOT until end of April 2027. Confident that this car will be sold. See also a brand new video walk round, review and test drive of this exact car c/o YouTubers Seized Gearbox to be announced and available from the beginning of November.

1989 Vauxhall Nova
Private sellerProject / repairs needed

1989 Vauxhall Nova

Rare survivor! 4 speed 67 thousand miles Sunroof Light covers ( genuine) Very clean inside and out! Mot until June 27 Currently on sorn Recently acquired from a family friend that has had to hang up his driving gloves, he has admitted he won’t be driving again in his 90s! He owned the car 30 years nearly to the day. His wife was the secretary at Sonning common Vauxhall, when she retired they bought the Nova, pretty sure they used a mini as part ex, they travelled around, holidays to the Cotswolds and visiting family etc, she kept a log of servicing etc which will come with it. Will come with a part roll of “network Q” Vauxhall paper floor matts. Always wiped down after use and kept in a garage, always serviced on time until failing health meant it was covered over in the garage for if his health improved which unfortunately it hasn’t. Passed its mot after I bought it and has been in storage since. Does need some tinkering, small hole in boot floor rear corner, rear brakes need sorting since being sat since the mot, front valance and rear outer arches ( just behind rear doors ) could do with some love before they deteriorate further. Perfect for shows and daily use! Will need some tinkering but with minor work will be perfect! Photos courtesy of the local car storage as they have it a full valet before being tucked up inside. Viewing by appointment only as will have to get it from them as they are very security conscious! More photos available if you need them Would recommend trailering it away unfortunately due to the rear brakes. Thanks for looking

2005 Land Rover Range Rover

2005 Land Rover Range Rover

3 L V6 automatic range Rover Vogue SE autobiography 120 8000 miles just failed its MOT today. The MOT tester said it was a very sound car suspension wise (all the airbags work and a car raises and lowers). It pulls well the gearbox changes well and it is rather pleasant to drive finally enough. A lot of these faults started when I put a new battery in it at the weekend. Also the media Centre stopped working when I change the battery now I’m no electrical expert, but I think somebody that’s got a bit of knowledge could this could be a cheap fix and through an MOT the mechanic even suggested it may have been LED bulbs that have been fitted causing the problems the car has damaged to the rear bumper where the old boy that owned it used to use it as a Dodgem. Being an autobiography I believe there was only 500 of these made. It’s very well equipped inside has everything you need this is the perfect car for an L3 22 enthusiast and will be a future classic. I’m sure located in Haywards Heath, West Sussex and the private plate will not come with the vehicle. I’m waiting for the logbook to arrive any day now and it will be removed viewing welcome. I don’t believe there’s any service history of this it was lost along with the logbook.

BMW 5 Series, 525i SE (E60) 6-Speed Manual, 2005 (N52) ULEZ free - Rolling project
Private sellerDrive it away

2005 BMW 5 Series, 525i SE (E60) 6-Speed Manual, 2005 (N52) ULEZ free - Rolling project

Very rare 6-speed manual petrol E60! 6-cyl petrol N52B25 (215bhp) early (best) version with the magnesium cam cover - No oil leaks! Engine 100% clean and dry. Running silky smooth, no dash lights. Sounds great and loves to rev, excellent open-road machine! Silver with full black leather, walnut dash, 4-way electric heated seats, sunroof, cruise control. Also has hands free kit fitted though I've never tested it. 132k miles. Lots of history including original service book and old invoices, x2 keys. Engine refreshed in 2024 with new spark plugs, coil packs, DISA valves, VANOS solenoids and PCV system. Has run like a dream since then and starts on the button first time every time. New battery Sept 2024. x4 new tyres summer 2025. Fresh MOT last month (to Sept 2027) - One advisory (front disks) Bodywork pretty good for age. Not mint, but no rust, clean underneath, good arches, sills, jacking points etc. Paint on bumpers and a little tired - Would benefit from a respray. Bonnet has some lacquer peel around the badge, but paint mostly good. Alloys in good condition but have been re-coated (cheaply) in the past. Power coat is starting to peel, would benefit from a refurb. Interior in great condition, no rips, tears or scuffs. All the important stuff works. Great drive, very smooth and quiet with very comfy seats, excellent on open road and long trips. Can manage 40+mpg on motorway runs. City economy not so good, but it is ULEZ exempt. Bad points: Sold as a rolling project as unfortunately the synchro on 3rd gear is worn - 3rd is still easy to select but will crunch if hurried or above 2500rpm. Gearbox oil change last year did improve it and you can drive around it to some extent but, fundamentally it will need a replacement gearbox to be all it could be. I do not currently have the facilities to undertake this work myself and having a second hand gearbox fitted (they are quite easy to obtain from a breakers for around £300) will be around £600-£800 at a garage, so more than I can justify spending on it at this time, given I have another car (335i) that also needs work doing. Otherwise it drives very nice and has been 100% reliable in the almost 3 years I have owned it. The E60 chassis is rock solid and the N52 engine is gem and surprisingly easy to work on. Minor faults that do not affect the drive: Sunroof will tilt but not slide. PDC works most of the time but glitches during wet weather. AC not working - suspect leak in the condenser (easy DIY job). Remote key has poor range - Currently investigating this to try and fix. Handbrake could do with adjusting if you regularly park on hills!.... Thats it really. It is fundamentally a solid, straight original and unmolested car that just needs a bit of love attention to make it all it can be. Perfectly useable as is, just starting to show its age in places. Anyone who knows these cars know what solid and well engineered cars they are and how refined they are to drive. Also more reliable and easier to work on than the newer BMWs. Manual E60s have always been rare, and most still around are diesels (mostly 520d). Manual straight 6 petrols are very rare to find now - Probably only a few dozen left in the UK! Based on how prices have gone for E39s in similar spec recently I think this car is a solid candidate for future classic status and very likely to appreciate in value soon. Being an SE it also has the more comfortable suspension setup and nice squishy tyres on 17" rims which avoid the kerbing/rim cracking issues of the larger M-sport items - Definitely a good thing given the current state of UK roads! Don't really want to sell if I'm honest but I can't afford to maintain 2 cars at once and the gearbox swap is beyond my scope to DIY so for financial reasons it has to go. £1995, open to sensible offers. Car is in regular use so mileage may go up. Located central Leeds.

1982 Volkswagen Scirocco

Ive decided to thin down my collection. I acquired this car in December 2021. It was a non runner and had been in storage since 2011 I got it running and MOT'd it within a month! Its proved to be reliable car taking me far and wide. I sold it in 2024 the owner sold it me back last year! I really dont have the time or the space to keep it :( Its a good car, the undersides are excellent never been welded Some small rust bubbles on some panels (Bonnet leading edge bubble on front wing, and bubble on rear arch. The previous owner had it for many years. Had it restored on the early 2000's had a leather interiour fitted, new carpets, Also later 1.8 injection engine fitted It was originally 1.6 Carb. Ive gone right through the car. New cam belt, waterpump, drive belt, Flame thrower coil, Magnecor ignition leads, 22MM Master cyl and new 9 inch servo (Recognised brake upgrade)New calipers, discs &Pads New gear change bushes, This year I fitted all new Spax adjustable coil overs, @£1200. They still need fettling but are fine. Zender 15inch alloys with new Toyo Proxis, stainless steel filler pipe. The car represents a very early MK2 especially in right hand drive. Registered 1 Feb 82 Very unusual colour Cirrus gray There is always something to do on an old car- Super critical the paint is showing its age Gear box has a small leak but Ive only needed to top it up once

Got a car to sell?

I need three things: a photo, a price, and a location. That's it.* Nothing over £10,000.

*Well, that was the original plan. But Laura insisted we add a few more details to keep things above board. So now there's make, model, year, mileage… you get the idea.

Good cars. New homes.

Simple really. Someone has a car to sell. Someone else wants to buy a car. GeoffTrader puts the two in the same room and lets them get on with it.

We want to create a website where real people can sell real cars to other real people. No messing, no jumping through hoops... just cars.
