Car has had a major restoration and has no corrosion anywhere. Was a really good solid car before the resto, but now it looks better than new most probably. It's gorgeous. Has new suspension, brakes, wheels & tyres - in fact most of the car has either been replaced or refurbished/rebuilt. The underside is absolutely mint. You'll struggle to find a better example, especially at this stupidly cheap price. It's MOT and Tax exempt, therefore classic insurance is dirt cheap - so it is actually quite cheap motoring. However, it doesn't run at the moment due to an electrical/wiring issue stated below. Therefore, it will need to be collected with a trailer. I'm advertising it for less than 1/3rd of what has been spent on it to date, but it's got to go - even though I don't particularly want it to. But there you go... Given this, I won't put up with any timewasters or idiots. It's not like a 6 month old Porsche Boxster. It's 50+ years old, so be sensible with your expectations. Most will be blown away with it though. It needs a few minor bits to finish it, nothing major though. The hard (and expensive) work has already been done. Bit's to finish it include finishing the edges of the vinyl roof along with the fuel filler cap. It needs wing mirrors. It hasn't got the chrome hockey sticks on the sides, as I just couldn't find any decent ones for love nor money. The front wings are fibreglass - because I couldn't get any original steel ones at the time. But they fit well, look good and you'd struggle to see any difference. The biggest issue, is that the battery developed a fault or short circuit and basically melted through some of the wiring under the bonnet, melting plastic bits that were adjacent to it and so on. Fortunately, the fault was discovered quite quickly, so the battery was pulled out before it caught fire or did any really serious damage. As such, it's not running at present as it needs a new battery and the wiring needs addressing. I wouldn't even consider putting a new battery in it until the wiring has been checked out and/or repaired/replaced. It's not catastrophic or anything, but it needs sorting out properly. Otherwise, it's spot on. If the right person buys it and finishes the bits and pieces off properly, the car will be a gold mine - worth 3 times or more what it's advertised for. I've seen them sell for £30-40k and those cars weren't even as nice as this one. Price is absolutely fixed in concrete, no offers at all. It's a bargain at £10k and anyone with a brain knows it. Thanks for looking and I just hope it goes to a good home.
