1980 Vauxhall Cavalier

Hi everyone, here's my Cavalier. Engine rebuild in 2022, at 35000 miles. Head gasket started weeping after 5000 miles. I tried k-seal, oh no. I did get the head gasket done properly, but, the k-seal must have caused a blockage in the cooling system. A standard thermostat will overheat, so I have fitted a modified thermostat, constant flow, but restricted. Haven't MOT'd since exemption. Was fully wax oiled when bought, and have kept on top of. Only 1 spot of welding. Not show quality. Ratty. Hand painted roof. Ask me anything. I use it as a daily driver, not all the time, have another car. Might be the only 1.3 saloon left. Who knows. More photos are coming/available. BGR918W. Owned since 2015. Original bill of sale. Big book of receipts and old MOT certificates. From 2015-2018, refurbished front callipers, with new discs and pads, full exhaust, manifold to back box, NOS distributor, lowered 40mm on Spax springs with adjustable panhard rod, all fuel hoses replaced, fuel tank rust treated and painted with hammerite, clutch friction plate, was told pressure plate was good. 2025, head gasket done, starter motor refurbished, radiator recored/refurbished, rear brakes shoes and cylinders, front wheel bearings, spark plugs and HT leads. 2026, alternator refurbished and new Bosch battery. I have all the original parts to return to stock, steel wheels, chrome hubcaps, air filter, springs and panhard rod.
